This joke I got from a forum I visit frequently:

Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing.

He concludes by saying: “Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed.”

“OH NO!” the President exclaims. “That’s terrible!”

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion,
nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, “How many is a brazillion?”

Birds. I’m gonna do a cartoony book about birds. It’s all Barry’s fault. He got me hooked on birds about 4 years ago when he gave me an adorable budgie for Valentine’s Day and our house has never been the same since. We now have 12 birds. Yeah. Get’s noisey ’round these here parts.

This is a doodle of our neice, Tember. She stayed with us for a while. She has one helluva great fashion sense–she really knew what colors worked with her, and was always willing to try new hairstyles. It was always fun to see what kind of outfit she’d have on when we went out. Also, you never knew what kind of hair color she’d have from one week to the next. She’s missed. She also gave me an idea for another comic I want to do when I have more time (HA!). It’s about persception. With her living with us, I realized just how different teenagers take in events, converstions, see things, experience relationships… It was amazingly and scarily eye-opening.

The story will be from both her view, but the art will show two different scenes–her’s and reality. Lots of humor in that one. Tember could come up with the funnies things. So, that’s what this will be about. It’ll be called “September Daze”. I’ll start on it sometime. I have a page or two written.

I was at Animal Kingdom lodge on Disney when I saw this guy just relaxing in a chair. These are actually two different doodles on one page…but it also looks like it’s a guy who’s thinking about a fantasy book he’s just read, or off on a day dream of glory days.

One day this lady was walking by me at one of the hotels. She just had this cool look about her. Oh yeah, and she had a really loooonng neck. I kinda was thinking about Africa and gave her the tribal neck rings and dress. No…she wasn’t walking with a horse down the hallway either, just felt like drawing a funky horse.

These are some of the people who pass by me everyday. I’ve always loved to watch people.

A design for a french maids outfit. You never know when you’ll need one.

I want to design a halloween carousel. This is one of my ‘Nightmares”

I loved the lady’s hair–the one with her foot up? She reminds me of a 20’s flapper.

Character designs.

Here’s the family…well, before Fox came and before I got my hair cut short and colored dark…so other then that it looks JUST like us! I had fun with this one. We look stressed.

Preliminary sketches for yet ANOTHER story I’m working on called “The Bride”. Yep, another horror story. Gotta love ’em!
This story is actually coming along quite well, and I’ve got quite a few sketches for different characters done. Having a blast with this!

Barry actually gave me the story as a present many years ago, but I can’t find the darned thing…I can only remember vague things about it. So I’m going with it.
